We
want all our players to enjoy playing and practicing their soccer skills. If
our players fail to meet the expectations of the sport, the club and their
fellow players the committee of the under age club may from time to time
decide to take disciplinary action.
At
all times we will advise the players and their parents of the events which
led to disciplinary action being required and the action being taken. A
sub-committee of the club will agree any disciplinary action. The player and
parents may appeal any action to a full committee meeting of the under age
club.
Our
code of discipline revolves around “three strikes and you’re out”.
For example, if during a training session a player fails to live up
to the clubs expectations he can be “sin-binned”. This is an area off
the field, where a player who has committed an act that is against the
rules, can be sent for a stated length of time.
If
a player accumulates three sin-bins, during a season, he will be asked to
not attend the next training session and the teams’ next match.
A
sin-bin offence is not just for indiscretions on the training field but also
for any act that is against the rules and spirit of the club, sport,
referees and fellow team members.
