May 15th Avondale 5 - 2 Villa. Two good goals from Adam Settini couldn't stop a good Avondale side. But we were missing eight due to Holy Communion.

April 3rd: we won a fantastic game 9-2 away to Castleview. A hat trick from Adam Settini (see Adam's photo in the Echo April 5th) and a couple from Colm Barry shot Villa to the top of the table.

Saturday December 19th 2009

Revenge is sweet, our U11 team went to Douglas Hall and ended the home sides unbeated legue run with a well deserved 0-1 scoreline. This was huge team performance with a goal from Rory O'Sullivan separating the sides. That's Rory's fifth goal of the season.

Saturday October 24th Villa 3 - 0 Nufarm 

Today was our best team effrt to date. In difficuly windy conditions we beat a good physical Nufarm team. Starting with goalie Jonathan Hurley we showed excellent play throughout the team. Goal were scored by Adam Settini and a brace from Colm Barry

Saturday October 10th Mayfield United v Innishvilla, Mayfield Park, 11.45am,

We met the best team we have come up against so far this season. Mayfield were superb in beating us 5-1. Our only goal chance was put away by Colm Barry.

October 4th 2009: the under 11's played city giants Corinthians in a friendly. We came back from two down at half time to draw 2-2. Goals from James Mulcahy and a goal later than a Man United comeback from Colm Barry earned a great draw from a great team performance. 

September 26th at the JO'D - in a friendly against local team Ballinhassig the Villa 11's ended up as winners 5-4 in a high scoring ontest. Goal scoreers were Rory O'Sullivan, Fearghal Lyons, Adam Seteni and a brace from on form Colm Barry.

Sat Sep 12th Evergreen 0 - 6 Villa. A great team performance saw Villa win their first game of the season thanks to hat-tricks from Rory O'Sullivan and Colm Barry.
