day of a match: Should
you not call off a game the night before, please ensure that if you are doing a

contact the opposition and the referee to stop them from travelling. Should
you feel that the pitch is playable after an inspection 2.5 hours before the

then be left to the referee. Of
course all this will only work if ALL club secretaries and referees have their

and/or early morning on the day of a fixture. Last
season we had some situations where the away teams/referees turned up to games
that had been called off but had not been informed by the home club. Please
ensure that this does not happen this season in the event of cancellations. THE
LEAGUE RESERVES THE RIGHT TO INSIST ON AN INSPECTION OF ANY PITCH AT ANY TIME IN
THE EVENT OF A CANCELLATION. THE COST OF THIS INSPECTION WILL BE BORNE BY THE
HOME CLUB.
