The Valley Rovers Parish League Football Finals U10 were held last Sunday morning (12/03/06) in Brinny.  Over the previous three weeks the four teams Galway, Laois, Aramagh and Tyrone had played each other resulting in Galway and Tyrone competing in the cup final and Laois and Armagh competing in the Plate Final.
We were very fortunate with the weather as the rain held off which allowed us to hold our parade around the pitch aided by a local piper.  The games were eagerly watched by many an enthusiastic parent and supporters. In the cup final Tyrone proved too strong for Galway and in the Plate Final Armagh were narrow winners over Laois.
After the games Dicey acted as M.C. presenting all players with their medals and the winning teams with the Cup and Plate.  The parish league was a great success highlighting the depth of underage talent in the club.
 
The U10 parish hurling league will commence next Sunday (19/03/06) at Brinny at 11.00 and will run for the following 5 weeks.
